I have two divs. One is container. The second is box. Th height of the container is 200px, whereas the height of the box is 300px. Box divis nested inside container div. When the dox div is displayed (it displays only on hover), as as much as 200px of it comes. How do I bring it to front?

OK, I''ve done some more searching. http://tjkdesign.com/articles/z-index/teach_yourself_how_elements_stack.asp[^] is a sample on using z-order. It seems that setting the z-order DOES float the boxes out of their containers. I changed this locally to make the containing div too small to hold these divs, and it still worked. The drag and drop does not work in IE at all. So, I think you have a general IE issue, which is hard to comment on, without seeing your code, I always find with issues like this, I can google and find the IE workaround, but it''s hard to search based on the lack of code in your post.
