Are you looking for a solution when a user logins to the SharePoint, add an entry like some unique ID in the SharePoint list?

If this is requirement then you can JSOM code and add it in the home page of the SharePoint site. Identify the user name/id on Document.Ready() and then add a unique ID in SharePoint list. But make sure your code doesn't add an entry when the same user refreshes the page which will add duplicate entry of the same logged in user.
