Currently we are in the process of migrating MySQL db from in premise to Azure mysql PaaS . The current in premise implementation having few Federated tables in use. According to the Azure mySQL PaaS documentation , Federated tables are not supported . In such a context what is the best strategy which I can adopt to migrate these Federated into Azure ?  What is the option for accessing the remote azure mysql PaaS dbs  from another ?

Hi Abhilash,

There is no PaaS option available that will meet your needs. You might, however, take a look at MySQL on an Azure VM (IaaS). Another option is Azure SQL database, which supports this functionality although not on your radar. You can make a feature request to Azure Database for MySQL User Voice for this functionality.
