I developed a search display template item level to display people information. I was able to add it to Masterpage Gallery on a regular site collection and created a demo page fine. But when i'm trying to add it to Mysites site collection i only see Javascript files for Item display templates. When i add my Javascript file it does show up in dropdown for Item display template but doesn't work in Mysites. How can we deploy new display templates to Mysites site collection. Please let me know.

If you also want to add "Item Display Template" into Master Pages gallery, you need to go to Site settings->Site Collection features, activate "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure".
