I've taken over administration of a SharePoint 2010 Instance and I'm noticing that when I add a group to a site in production it will display with the "domain\groupname and SID   When I add the same group in Dev it doesn't show the SID.  I've compared the User Profile services and everything I can think of in Central Admin.  Would anyone have an idea on how/why one shows and the other doesn't?

What CUs did you install on your Products environment and Dev environment?
