Hello All,

I have a web app in SP2013, i have added alternate access mappings and changed IIS bindings in order to make to work externally. 

Site has to use 80 port internally and 8000 port externally. In AAM and IIS bindings, i have entered http://contoso.com. When i open this site externally using http://contoso.com:8000/, Site loads without any content. When i debug it shows the absolute url as "contoso.com" instead of "http://contoso.com:8000" and it shows http://contoso.com not found externally. 

How to change the absolute url in order to make this work?

Couple thoughts:

1. Why don't you just extend the site so it is available externally?
2. Is DNS pointed to port 80?  You may need to do some NATing to get it to work properly.
3. Is there a technical/business/security reason it has to be on port 8000?
