I have a problem with UPS which is driving me crazy. We are using UPS to syncronize some specific users to SharePoint, but they disappear shortly after being synchronized.

The users in concern are placed in a different OU in AD than the normal employees, and this OU has been added to the synchronization connection. When we then do a synch the users will show up correctly under User Profiles in UPA, but after a short while they disappear again and the total number of profiles decreases.

Please re-create the sync connection, and do a full sync. After finishing, compare the result.
