Hi, I have a user who is having an odd issue. He is in the Site Owners group of his intranet SharePoint site. When he chooses Actions > Alert Me for a list or library his user name does not default into the Users field.

When clicks the browse for people picker, searches on a user, selects a user the Add button doesn't work. He clicks on it but the user's name does not get added to the Add field.

He can enter names directly into the Users field and use Check Names with no issues.

There are three other users who are site owners. They are having no issues.

My first thought would be an issue with IE but I would've expected that the issue would occur in the test site as well. The test site uses the server name and port for the URL while the intranet uses a friendly url.

The intranet URL is in the Local intranet zone. I even had him try adding the URL to his compatibility settings.
