I have to make few changes to document template (word template). Currently, I have around 1000 documents in document library, and yes, I need all of them to updated with changes. I tried to do changes in template but existing documents do not update to use the new template changes.

Also,  I tried to update the content type by selecting yes for the option "Update all content types inheriting from this type" while editing the content type under the site content type but it didn't work.

I need to update all the documents to match the new template structure. Is there any way to force existing documents to use the new template automatically? otherwise do anyone have sample code to achieve the same using powershell or C#?
