I created one menu with unordered list UL using the css . I am opening this in different browsers . This menu is coming correctly in chrome and Firefox. when i am opening this menu in Internet explorer 9 the menu size is increasing i am not able to get the solution please tell me the reason. How can i solve this..

I think you should use a meta tag inside your head tag of html.
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />

It will force the last/newer IE mode.
