I am coding a program to enable and disable all wireless connection when a network cable is plugged in or remove from a LAN network (plug network cable in disable wireless devices, unplug network cable enable wireless devices).

so far I have been successful with wireless hardware that appears as a network connection and Bluetooth hardware but I an having problems with wireless modem such as USB wireless dongles and modems in general that do not appear in the network connection page.

I can get a list of modem with WIN32_POTSMODEM but I need a way to tell if the modem is connected or not and than a way to disable/enable the hardware, the same as if you go to devices and disable/enable the hardware.

I am using Visual Studio 2010 vb.net on Windows 7 x86/x64.

Any help would be great.
