I thought I would then try out in the Actions Pane:-
Attach Task To This Event
I asked it to put up a message box, which I no longer want.

How do I delete this task?

Open Control Panel
Open Administrative Tools
Open Event Viewer
Left-hand pane - Click on Windows Log, Application
Right-hand pane - Attach Task To This Event
in new window - Create a Basic Task
