I have a project i''m working on in Visual basic. It downloads files from the internet and creates and stores its configuration files in the app.path directory. The program can''t run without these files, so the program is obviously storing them somewhere. I did a search through his whole machine and couldn''t find them anywhere. I made sure that hide system files was turned off, so that everything is visible. Still couldn''t find them anywhere. Yet the program still works. Wtf?

So my question is, does anyone have any idea where the OS is moving these files to? I checked the application data folder and didn''t find anything there. It''s like the files just vanished. Any ideas?
