Dear Friends,

I have applied sorting on one of my grid where i am displaying the stock availability but as the records in the grid reaches thousand the sorting stops working on the click of the headers on which i have applied sorting in the grid.

Can anyone throw some light on it why this is happening?

Don''t. Display a page of twenty or so items, let them search and filter. But don''t expect normal human beings to look through massive lists.

Sorting works, either there are thousands of records, it takes time according to size of record.
till the processing is going on you can show message like "Please Wait..." or may be connection time out so you can increase the command time with the sql server.
