I don''t think your approach makes sense.

This is a pretty interesting project, but you can do your research or, even better, try to design it by yourself. Reproducing classes and structures which someone else suggests is not really interesting.

The attractiveness of this game is that is is very interesting, and software implementation of it is also very interesting. In particular, the design of effective data structures for this game is an interesting issue. If you try to do it yourself, you will learn (or invent) a pretty big deal of important techniques.

I suggest you do it and publish your results. If you get stuck, ask a question, we would gladly try to help you.
