Hi,

I am calling LsaLookupNames() API for a domain user and it is failing with error code 1789 i.e untrusted connection. Before calling LsaLookupNames() I was succesfully calling LsaOpenPolicy() with POLICY_ALL_ACCESS flag. Can anyone suggest me a method to suppress this error or how to make this connection as trusted?

I found two possible solutions to your problem.
The first[^] suggest that the machine you are running your program needs to be part of the domain. So check if it is.
The second[^] is that is a problem with it running on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. For this problem Microsoft have released on hotfix. Read the article and see if it applies to your situation.

Note: The documentation for the LsaLookupNames[^] function specifies that LsaLookupNames2[^] should be be used.
