Currency converter is a simple calculation ( original currency * exchange rate = target currency); the difficulty might be getting the appropriate exchange rate, but I assume it is not asked of you to dynamically fetched that on the internet; so it can be any hard-coded values for the purpose of the exercise.

Temperature is the same kind of calculations ( a bit different because of the inherent differences between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin temperature scales)

What kind of programming difficulties you have with that ?
What have you done up to now ?
Do you know how to program simple tasks in C++ or C# ?
What does your teachers and teaching assistants or course notes say about that ?

And more important :
