Hi,
First i like to tell you guys that i have very limited knowledge in networking devices.
For my final year project
1)I need a device(like gps) attached to automobile
2)The position of automobile is then sent to the server application that i am developing using .NET
3)In the device the driver will enter some details like driver ID, route no etc and sent to server.
4)There is no need that the device has to show maps or other things to driver. It only need is to sent the position to server


What sort of devices can I use and I kindly request you to point me the resources to learn about those devices.
