The physical device is [relatively] unimportant. There will be a signal generated by the device which needs to be captured. You will need to look at the manufacturer''s documentation to find out what drivers you need to access it. I am going to guess that unless it is relatively old it is unlikely to be supported on a pre-Vista platform and so it is unliekly that you will be able to access it using VB6.
