Can we update through Views? I have come to konw that we can update provided table is single. If so, why can''t we update multiple tables. Please can anyone give me simple example where we update table through views

Yes you can update Views too. But there are certain conditions that needs to be satisfied in order to do it. Most basic being:
Any modifications, including UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE statements, must reference columns from only one base table
