But there are plug-ins for them which you will find in the given link.

I am considering that you are developing a web application. So you can''t force the client to download these plug-ins. Thus these plug-ins do not solve your problem. You may have to re-consider your design. I don''t know much about an alternative but a quick Google search for "activex alternative[^]" gives some good links.
