Is there a way to create a upload form were I can browse the picture directly after the upload without page reloading

I have a page with plenty of controls in update panels.

I need to add a panel where a user can upload a file asynchronously then after the upload finishes the picture will be loaded somewhere on the page without full post back.

I was able to do that with Ajax upload control and JavaScript but the picture will unload after any partial post back on the page.

I do appreciate any help
