Hi, I m new to web development.I devlpd website using crystalreport. all the pages works fine but when i add a crystalreportviewer on the page it returns "http-500 internal server error" on refreshing the page again it shows "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" on the line where I used CrystalReportViewer control.However It is running fine on my LAN server. Can anybody help me out.thnx in advance.

It looks like you have Crystal Viewer installed on your LAN Server and thus the needed DLL''s are available. When you are trying to use it in your system, application is unable to find the needed DLL and thus the exception.

that is the case. but my production server is on unix and hence I m unable to run CRredis2005.msi file to upload required dll file to GAC. So,I copied the required dll in the bin folder itself

You sure, thats the one DLL in question? I think there might me more. You need to list out the needed DLL, if its just one or two, you can copy that your system and put in your pc GAC.... thus registering it on your PC for use. Try it!
