You might be able to use the transaction log to get some of the deleted data, but some operations are not stored by the transaction log (such as truncating tables). Not sure if a column drop would be stored by the transaction log.

Although, if your DBA keeps backups of the data, you could rollback to the last backup. If you are the DBA and you don''t keep backups... well then shame on you and you might be screwed.
