I am having problems in creating a database through the Microsoft Visual Studio (C# .NET). When I am about to create a new database, it generates an error:

a network-related or instance specific error occured while establishing a connection to sql server.The server was not found or was not accessible,verify that the instance name is correct and that sql server is configured to allow remote connections(provider:SQL network interfaces,error:26-error locating server/instance specified)

I do not face any problems when I have not installed an antivirus, but after installation, it causes a havoc.. Now even after disabling the antivirus, it generataes the same error.

Please help me out in this matter

It seems that your anti virus has installed the firewalls also. Your anti virus is blocking the port that is being used by SQL. Check the logs and enable the ports.

You can check the same from windows log
