function count_pages($pdfname) {
  $pdftext = file_get_contents($pdfname);
  $num = preg_match_all("/\/Page\W/", $pdftext, $dummy);
  return $num;

\W与任何非字母数字字符匹配，并排除诸如/Pages，/PageMode等之类的内容.

\W matches any non-alphanumeric character and excludes things like /Pages, /PageMode etc.
