Earlier I was using a meta tag <meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=edge" > just to make sure that IE will render the page in highest document mode, but I was facing some issues with IE10 standard mode, so I changed the meta tag to render the page in IE9 mode: <meta http-equiv="x-ua-compatible" content="IE=9" >.
