I tried the following and neither of them is ideal for my case.

1. Use Bulk Service to download all ad groups, but apparently that's very much an overkill and takes a lot of time.

2. Use Campaign Management Service's GetAdGroupsByCampaignId on all campaigns one by one to get all ad groups, but this is not better than #1 in terms of the performance.

Is there anything similar to the concept of Selector in Google Ads that we can filter entities by certain fields? I couldn't find anything from the official docs, but wonder if I missed anything important.

Good question. Filter by name in the service request is not supported. I would suggest the Bulk service, although you already tried it. If all of the ad groups are in the same account it should only require one download.
