I have been working on convertion visio drawings to xaml. As I understad there is such a feature in Visio 2010 and in my beta version when saving as web page I get a .xaml file. It seems to me that this i not an open and known feature of Visio 2010. Why is that? Why do you have to save as web page, get a ton of files if all you want is a .xaml file? Why not "Save as xaml"? Is it even going to be left in for the final release?

Visio 2010 outputs XAML in the Save as Web Page, which is quite customisable, and it also outputs XAML into the Web Drawing option (for Visio Services).
