I got the sample to work and the presence is now showing as online always even when the bot is not running. I'm trying to pass the PresenceState.Offline value hoping that the state will now show as offline but with no luck. Is setting the status to offline not supported? or am I missing something here?

Instead of making a "static" publication, you should make a "user" publication by simply changing the state category type.

 

The reason why the bot appears online is that it is expected to be always online in production environment.
