In part of a project that I am working on, I would like to to take a photo that we have and turn it into something that looks like an artist painting. I have Expression 2 Studio. However, I am just learning the basic steps. Can a photo be converted to an artist painting using Expression Design (or other Expression 2 program)? If so, can someone direct me to some links to get me started?

Hi John,

With your photo selected, you will see the Effects pallette below the Properties palette.  Try some of the Paint category options.  You can use more than one and also re-order them .  You can show or hide each effect with the little Eye on each option.  There are some good 'painterly' choices.  It is non-destructive; the original isn't permanently changed.
