Every time i export something in design it cuts some of the edges off. Even if Ive highlighted the project and clicked to export it still dose the same.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Design only exports what is inside the document frame. Try increasing the frame size to fit the image, or objects you intend to export; File > Artboard Size from the menu bar. Don't use File > Document Size as this will increase the size of the image or objects as will as the document frame, so you won't gain anything.
