Does any one have any idea, if Windows 10 OS uses the TimeTrigger for Alarm/Reminders?

I found that the TimeTrigger resolution time is 15 minutes, however, Windows 10 Alarm/Reminders are working just fine even if we schedule this for next 2 or 3 minutes (i.e less than 15). How is that working?
