How do you connect to windows server 2012 core virtual machine on azure using remote desktop connection ? I was able to connect to the full gui server using remote desktop, but after switching to core (by removing graphical management tools and infrastructure + server graphical shell using the server manager) am not able to connect to the vm using remote desktop, why is that ?

Rdp is disabled on a core o.s but to enable it you can use the SCregEdit.wsf script in the System32 subfolder of your Windows folder. Simply type the following commands:

View remote desktop settings in the windows command prompt
