Well, if you have implemented the *chat* functionality where one types in chat on one system and other recieves it on other system then I am not sure what is stopping you from buzz feature.

All, you need is to have a kind of some shortcut/code/signal that needs to be pass on to your codebase that signifies that a BUZZ was done. Like if a particular key is pressed then assume its a buzz and accordingly instead of transferring text from one window to other, raise a mp3/wav or any audio file to replicate buzz feature.

Thus, button click, event raised, a wav file on both windows. What say? Try!
