Actually *any* contributions contribute to being an MVP.
So although I am an Outlook MVP, my contributions here are what helped earn
me the award.
Note: in addition to newsgroups, they look at other areas, such as public
speaking, writing books, writing magazines articles, maintaining a web site.
As long as those activities provides "assistance" with Microsoft products...
