can some one please tell me how the announce url work.
what information did application / script need to send to "announce" url. and what you will get in return.

for example
this is url in traker
http://torrent.fedoraproject.org:6969/announce[^]
and this is hash
# = D878AD248D8D2B24C2CCF9405476BB692E625081

i think hash has something to do with it, since many torrents has identical announce url.

any help appreciated.

See the BitTorrent Protocol Specification[^]. You send a HTTP GET request to the tracker URL with the info_hash and other data required by the standard as query parameters.

You'll get in return a <b>beencod</b> line that you can parse with certain class that you can find on google : )

The hash represents the torrent on the tracker, the hash is like an ID to it, it's like your name, the bittorrent program sends a request to the tracker with the name of it (in this case the hash)
