Hi,

I have a website portal deployed on Azure in which I need to implement Azure Multi-Factor Authentication. We are not yet sure on how we are going to provide Authentication whether using AD or a database which stores user credentials. My understanding till now about MFA is that it need authentication using AD.

Q 1.Is there any way we can use Azure MFA to provide authentication using a database and not AD as inside AD we can only have Live ID or Organisational accounts and our user are not going to be any of those?

Q 2.Can Azure MFA be used in other scenarios apart from Sign-On like user logs in to the page then goes to generate OTP and this is where the MFA hits.?
