hi you have a lot places to mention the configuration details in a azure role projects like :
1) .cscfg file in the cloud project role
2) old configs system still persist in Azure Web Role Project ( web.config or app.config )
3) Still Repository file concept which is being used for Globalization can also be used but you cannot change the values while the project is hosted on cloud but the flexibility exist with .cscfg file
