Hi there,

I'm quite new to programming in ASP.Net.
I've created a website containing a webshop where the information of products is contained in a database.
When the detailpage of one product is shown, the url shows ...aspx?ProductCode=<number>

When a user enters a productNAME (that is contained in my database) in the Google Search, I want the Google Result paga to show a link to the corresponding detailpage of that product.
If I understand this correctly, and need url rewritin so the page-url shows ..aspx/<productname>.


How do I do this ?
Do I have to extract the <productname> from the URL, then search for the corresponding ProductNumber in the database, and change the url to ..aspx?ProductCode=<number> on the server-side ?

How does Google know what products are contained in my database, so the are shown in the Google Search results ?
