Is there any future or career in Siebel anymore, as cloud computing is a buzz now?
So does learning Siebel Applications will add any value to my resume?

I hear it all the time. Well, in my opinion Cloud is more a infrastructural marketing shift rather than a technology shift. It does not change any base technology but adds a layer on top of it to provide hosting capabilities to masses in a easier and economical way.

Talking about Siebel or any other technology, you can always build a career on them. What you need to decide is what you want from your career? Is it money, learning or satisfaction?

Even after more than 50+ years, Mainframes, Cobol etc. are still in use and would be there for considerable amount of time in future. Same goes for Siebel, it's not going to extinguish anywhere soon. Of course, as we saw with Microsoft, SAP etc., they might shift to Cloud Model but that does not change much for you as professional.
