I have recently added about 12 words to the Query spelling inclusion list on my Sharepoint 2013 site and am seeing strange behavior. Words seem to be working okay but I have two acronyms among the 12 terms and those are not showing up in the 'Did you mean...?' when I leave out a letter or switch 2 of the letters. I have been looking everywhere for documentation on how the query suggestions actually work but have not had much luck. Any ideas on why acronyms do not seem to be working?

How long is your acronyms. You can have a test that make a longer acronyms and check whether it can be promoted.

I don't know this much neither, I guess this is similar with search, you can't get expected results if you just search with single 'a'.
