Currently i'm using visual studio 2010 ultimate and windows phone 7.1 SDK. I'm having visual studio .iso file also. i'm planning to move visual studio 2012. Is there any way to move visual studio 2012 without affecting the windows phone sdk? Can i use the same SDK with visual studio 2012 also?

Why move? You always can install a new version and have two installed versions of Visual Studio, a later decide what to do next. If you installed Windows Phone SDK separately from VS, it can be used by both versions. Just try it, you have nothing to loose.

Usually the SDKs are independent of the IDE, meaning you can use an IDE with whatever SDK you want.

They do seem to come with a free copy of Visual Studio Express, but you should be able to not install that version if you don't want it.
