Note : SP2007 don't support CSOM. So i can't use filecopy operation and i don't want to use SSOM

There might be a possibility that autor detail and versions were not copied successfully using your custom script. If the content size in few GBs then I would suggest you to use the Metalogix or Sharegate for content migration using the trial version. These tools will copy all documents with versions, author and timestamp details.

Make sure author account is available in AD, other wise you will not get the actual author. Using these tools you can also map users.
