Novice to Azure SQL.

I know Log analysis has changed pretty drastically in the Azure SQL World as opposed to traditional Server and VM Server World.

How can I query our Azure SQL Log Files to see what may be going on with a UI that is throwing an error?

In a hosted environment, things are a bit different that with an on-premise environment. This is the first place to start:

Azure SQL Database: Monitoring and tuning

There is a new service being rolled out (Azure Monitor) which replaces functionality currently being delivered through Azure Alerts (Classic) and Metrics.
