I'm a user of SSAS Tabular cube with Excel Pivot Table and we have a dimension with 600 entities. We are also using MDS for masterdata management of our entities.

I need your advice for this business case :

However, the list of entities to select or unselect is not fixed, it changes nearly every 2 weeks or monthly, if possible it should be updated by end users and not SSAS admin for greater flexibility and previous filters applied need to be saved / archived if users want to reproduce their previous filter / analysis.

In a case like this, I would add a column or columns to the dimension table for categorizing the entities. The ETL can handle the grouping.

The tabular model would have an additional column or columns in that dimension table. Then, you could have a filter or slicer by the new column that can un-select that group of 100 or 50 in one click.
