Yes, this is possible.  Click the Format tab to display the Format ribbon.  In the Format section at the left end of the ribbon, click Gridlines > Gridlines.  In the Gridlines dialog, select the Bottom Tier item on the left side of the dialog.  Select a value on the Type and Color pick lists and then click the OK button.  Hope this helps.
