I am using ASDK in ADFS mode on baremetal.  I am able to install Azure Stack Development kit but I am not able to activate the portals.  When I use the adminportal.local.azurestack.external/guest/signup, the URL would switch to adfs.local.azurestack.external/adfs/oauth2/...... and my username and password would not work (if the URL is correct, I would not need to login at all).  Am I doing some thing wrong?  With the same account, I am able to activate the stack or login with powershell (Login-AzureRmAccount) with the same account fine.  Any other way to do this?

Just to highlight, there are two portals in Azure Stack; the administrator portal and the user portal (sometimes referred to as the tenant portal.) As an Azure Stack operator, you can use the administrator portal for day-to-day management and operations of Azure Stack.

 

To access the administrator portal, browse to the portal URL and sign in by using the credentials of an Azure Stack operator. 

 

Administrator Portal URL: https://adminportal.local.azurestack.external

 

There are a few account considerations you should be aware of when managing Azure Stack. Especially in deployments using Windows Server Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) as the identity provider instead of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Checkout the screenshot below and the document.
