We have a Microsoft Pixelsense (Samsung SUR40), and we want to use a HP scanjet G3110 USB scaaner on it, we did install the drivers on SUR 40 and under the device manager I can see that the printer is installed, but when try to use the Fax and scan program of windows 7 (or HP scan program)  I get an message that scan job failed. I think there is a USB issue, I did try the secon usb scanner on SUR 40 with the same result, also I did tried other availble USB ports without any result. I did use the same 2 scanners on a normal windows 7 PC and install the same drivers on it and I could use the same scan program to scan.

Any idea why we can not use the any of these USB scanners on the SUR 40?

PixelSense应用程序是特殊的应用程序，它依赖于Surface Shell，它是单个进程。

PixelSense application are special application wich rely on Surface Shell wich is single process.
So from a main application you will not be able to start an other application as you do from traditional Windows 7 application.

因此无法使用HP扫描程序或任何其他第三方。

So using your HP scan program or any other third party will not be possible.
