CDONTS was replaced a long time ago with CDOSYS (since win2003 server at least) and this is probably the easiest mailing component customers can use with ASP as it is built into the server. You can install other components (Even including CDONTS) if you want to give the customer more choice but as ASP is not so popular these days we just offer CDOSYS only on our new servers.
